Shopify Store Launch & Conversion Setup for a Perfume Brand

Shopify Store Launch & Conversion Setup for a Perfume Brand
This project involved launching a premium perfume brand through a conversion-focused Shopify storefront designed specifically for online-first growth.
The brand had already invested heavily in product research, scent development, packaging, and visual identity before entering the market. Since the online store would serve as the brand’s first customer touchpoint, the objective was to create a shopping experience that felt premium, trustworthy, and optimized for conversion from day one.

Challenge & Approach
The problem
Selling perfume online comes with a major challenge: customers cannot smell the product before purchasing.
Without existing customer data, the store needed to quickly build trust, communicate scent profiles clearly, and reduce hesitation from cold traffic.
The brand also wanted to increase average order value early without relying heavily on discounts.
The Approach
The store was designed as a guided buying experience rather than a traditional catalog-style store.
Instead of overwhelming users with too many choices, the structure focused on:
- Simplified fragrance discovery
- Clean product hierarchy
- Bundle-led purchasing
Fragrances were positioned using mood, occasion, and personality cues to make decision-making easier.
To increase conversion and AOV:
- Bundle offers were integrated directly into the product page using the Kaching Bundle App
- Value anchoring and multi-unit pricing were used to encourage higher-value purchases naturally
The entire flow was built around paid traffic behavior, prioritizing clarity and low-friction navigation.
The way we worked
The homepage and collection pages were intentionally kept clean to reduce decision fatigue, while product pages handled the majority of the conversion process.
Key implementation elements included:
- Product pages structured around scent clarity and fragrance personality
- Bundle options placed directly near the add-to-cart section
- Simplified product descriptions for faster scanning
- Premium product photography to strengthen brand perception
Trust and reassurance elements were also positioned closer to buying decisions to reduce hesitation from first-time visitors.
Early interaction patterns and engagement behavior were used to refine section placement and improve user flow during launch.

The final setup delivered a minimal, premium, and conversion-focused fragrance shopping experience.
As paid traffic campaigns scaled, the store showed more stable conversion behavior due to clearer product communication and a more structured purchase flow.
During the early scaling phase:
- Top-performing campaigns stabilized in the – 2x–2.4x ROAS range
- Bundle purchases contributed to higher average order value
- Product pages showed stronger engagement and deeper interaction
The new structure gave the brand a scalable online foundation without relying heavily on discount-driven sales.
